Check out the recent interview between Long Island artist LouLa $av and TGWEWON's Du'Lanci Vallie below.
If you wasn't in the music business or industry, what do you think you would be doing with your life instead?
Either do acting or be a vet.
Do you prefer the Independent route or would you rather sign to a major record label, and why?
Independent so no one can take advantage of me or tell me what to do with my music.
Who's your ideal musician to collaborate with and why?
Nicki Minaj or Cardi B or Eminem.
What would you consider your most successful or proudest moment in your music career, so far?
Proudest moment is when I became content with my craft until reality hit and I started doing things out of my comfort zone when everyone was trying to knock me down and didn’t want me to continue so I continued.
Out of all the songs you've released, what do you think is your Best song and why?
Best song is MOST HATED OR VENDEDA. MOST HATED because I’m the most hated and I take pride in it and it shows my word play and flow the most. VENDEDA second because it shows my bilingual culture of rapping in Greek and doing Drill.
Are you able to make a living with your music? If so, how were you able to attain a career doing what you love? If not, what do you do in order to fund your music career? What advice would give to someone who's interested in pursuing a career in music?
The goal is to make a living from music which i'm hoping will soon come to reality not there yet but it’s close. I had to work a 9-5 to fund my studio time and music videos. My advice is to perfect your craft everyday don’t take long break gaps like I did you never know who’s listening and never be content. Do things out of your comfort zone.
What do you think makes you stand out from all the other aspiring and upcoming artists in your genre of music?
First of all, what Greek rappers do you know in NY who are doing Greek rap/ Greek drill? Not many. When do you actually meet a Greek rapper who has actual roots from the famous city of Sparta? Rarely. I made my own genre of drill music and rap music in general by combining heavy metal Rock into my raps. Yeah, there’s people who do drill and scream while they rap but that’s not Rock drill or Rockrap. It’s a rockstar lifestyle and I’m living in it everyday. I specify on rapping over dark beats to show how I really think and feel and embrace my dark side.
What is your latest release and where fans can find it?
Latest release is called MOST HATED by LouLa Sav and it’s on all platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and SoundCloud.
What is on your agenda or what can fans expect to see from you in 2023?
An EP of some Greek raps and more hardcore raps to come.
